I don't know how common knowledge of this is, but Roger Waters, formerly of
Pink Floyd, claims that ALW took part of the theme from "Phantom of
the Opera" from the song "Echoes" on the 1971 Pink Floyd
album "Meddle". There's a special "tribute" to ALW on
Water's 1992 album "Amused to Death".
