subject: Qmodem Script EXIT

WF>The script works perfect, and never fails to deliver, EXCEPT,
WF>when the host is off line due to power failure, ect.
WF>The script exits to dos and every thing is lovely, when the host
WF>answers. The problem is ...... getting the script to exit
WF>when the host is off line.
WF>Qmodem will sit there and dial till the cows come home.
Your problem is that Qmodem has not yet started execution of the
Script, at the point where it is STILL DIALING.
With your phone book displayed and the relevant phone number
hi-lighted, hit the REVISE button, and the "Revise entry" dialog box will
be displayed. Look to the right lower side of the Phone Number box and
you will see RETRIES with a 0 and an up and down arrow beside. Set this
count to the maximum number of retires which you desire, say 5 or 10.
If there is no answer after that many tries, dialing will STOP with any
on screen message. With retries set at Zero, Qmodem will dial forever...
        Hope this helps.
