The problem is that string procedures made for use with QuickBasic
don't work with PowerBasic. Moreover Powerbasic uses the large
memory model whereas QuickBasic uses the medium memory model. So in
PowerBasic procedure parameters given by reference are 32-bit
pointers and in QuickBasic they are 16-bit pointers. If you don't
have the source code to adjust it for PowerBasic and an assembler to
assemble it to new OBJ's it is impossible to use most library
routines written for QuickBasic in PowerBasic.
