You got the basic 10 mem. beep or vibrator, or the fancier ones with 20 mems.
or more with voice mail. The come in all flavors and features, and seem to be
dominated by the all powerful Motorola, as I hardly see any other brands
around. It is the poorman's cellular phone. 
Now come prices and service. 
The worse case, is to inherit a beeper number from the hottest hooker in
town, or some emergency service number.
Excluding that, the fees vary, and seem to have come to a time volume rate
scheddule here in L.A. meaning the rates go by 100 pages a month $6.95, and
up as the number of calls go up. This is strictly for the plain beeper, I
presume the alphnumeric message types cost more. 
Then there are activation charges, anywhere from $21-$30.00 one time fee. 
 
I'm thinking of getting a basic 10 mem, one called Renegade, any pros or cons
to this?
