 (I still don't know of any paths to connect bbs echomail to internet mail
 ...other than a gateway)
I've heard that most of the gateways were closed because of spam.

And....in simple terms: a gateway is like a door.

 What about asking the sysop?
Anyway, I'll continue to seek an answer.
