Hello John! I rarely receive MNP-enabled calls. I admit that I've been having a lot of trouble with the Supra V.34 (both of them) for the past few weeks. I've been trying some experiments to improve outbound connectivity, including disabling LAPM/V.42. My current dial string is AT M1 %C0 S48=128 +MS=V34,1,300,28800 DT Unfortunately, it isn't having a lot of effect. My problems are (both modems do this); * Calls to a Maestro V.FC (3:632/371) tend to drop out; * Calls to a Maestro V.34 (3:632/372) sometimes drop out, and often connect at 33600 but with no error correction and then drop out. * Calls to several banks (30-50 modems each) of Dataplex V.34 are a nightmare. The Supra will hear the remote end's V.34 answer sequence, but by the time the Supra responds the Dataplex has moved on to the 2400 sequence. No connect occurs. This happens 75% of the time. I have no trouble at all connecting to my ISP's elcheapo Rockwells, "OzLink" or something I think they're called (not entirely sure). Frankly I'm considering selling the Supras and buying a pair of elcheapo Rockwells myself. I'm not sure they could work any worse than the Supra, although they wouldn't look as nice. Active have a V.34 internal for $165 + tax which seems to come with a 3.5" drive panel connector for the modem LEDs. Quite nice. I can get the V.34 datapump for my dead V.34 Supra for about $60, but at the end, I just end up with another unreliable modem. I'm running beta firmware, because the major release is even worse. Might be time to step back to an even earlier V.34+ firmware, I think they were a bit better than this. Like I said, the Supra V.FC was rock solid. I wouldn't mind getting one back, either.
