LM->Am I the only one having this problem:
LM> While Qmodem is in Host mode, I call back to my computer and try to
LM>drop to Dos but can't seem to do so. Yes, I've changed mystatus to
LM>sysop status, used the proper password, etc.
LM> This has been the situation for ALL versions that I've used:
LM>Qmodem 4.xTD, Qmodem 5.0x, and now Qmpro 1.53!
FJ> If you drop to DOS from Qmodem Pro you will lose your connection!
FJ> It seem to me that you are tring do something that Qmodem will not do.
FJ> What you need is LapLink or PC Anywhere. From what I here from our
FJ> Coumpter club's Sysop, LapLink v.7 for Windows 95 is the best. You
FJ> can do all most anything but change floopy disk.
I have wrestled with this problem for a long time without success.
I was told by a Mustang rep to get DOORWAY and put it in the Qmpro dir.
Doorway is a 'drop to Dos door' and is found on many BBS as DRWY231.ZIP
or whatever the latest version is. Doorway works fine by itself but I
was never able to get Qmpro to call Doorway from a batch file as its
supposed to. Good luck. Share the success story.
