It should work too.  I don't see anything in the DDK sources that imply
that it will not.  Oh well, an R&D job for some other day. :-)

I don't think so.  The source code is just not written to work that way
and I've never seen any version of com.sys remap COM5 and COM2 to the same
device.

What's the date and size of the com.sys you are using?
