the balloon was for, so they keep it gauarded, and don't let anyone
examine it too closely.."
  Paul:
It ONLY sounds that way if you are unfamiliar with the witness
accounts, statements made by USAF officers from
Roswell-to-Carswell-Wright pat. The balloon NEVER existed. All Mogul
balloons launched are known & accounted for. ALL of them. There are
none close to the time frame that would not have degraded to near dust
in the climatic conditions of New Mexico in summer.
In fact, the man who cordoned of the retrieval site finally
testified before he died. In his statement he was quite unequivocal
about the nature of what was recovered, including flatly, the recovery
of non-human bodies.
And finally to kill this silliness, all Mogul balloons had tags
identifying them as a gov't. project & instructing what the finders of
such balloons should do.
Let me summarize Roswell for you:
   1) We have an unidentified Radar source that intrudes over sensitive
military installations & is tracked for over 48 hours.
   2) Sometime on July 4-5, the object appears to vanish from radar
after giving an unusual radar signature.
   3) A group of college students taking an archaeology course from
Texas Tech stumble on an apparent aircraft accident, involving strange
creatures unfamiliar to them.
   4) Roswell personel arrive at the scene, cordon off the area, etc.
   ******
Does not much sound like a balloon to me.
   Ciao,
   Matt.
