I'm considering expanding my storage with SATA drives.  My motherboard
does not have an SATA controller.

Does anyone have an SATA II controller card working with the danis506
driver, especially a controller card that also has a PATA controller? 
Which one?

Do PATA devices such as CD and DVD drives have to be plugged into the
controller card, or can one use the controller on the motherboard for
them?
