Hi,
I am relatively new to salt water sailing and my family & I bought our
first larger sailboat. We were looking for something that we could spend
the weekend on and still survive with our 2 1/2 yr old. Well we found
what we thought was the perfect boat for us. Something as wide as it is
long, (almost) and trailer able. Understanding that this sail boat is
stretching the limits of the definition of "sail boat" we bought it
anyway.
It is a fixer-upper, 1975 Bayliner Buccaneer, 24 '. The sails
look OK, the hull looks fine, but the interior is a mess and the windows
are cracked and leak. Where would one look for parts (windows, window
frames, hatches etc.) for such an oldie. I called Bayliner, they
sold out to Pearson Yachts, and I have been told that Pearson is no
longer in business. If anyone can help me out with some sort of
connection to be able to get these parts I would appreciate it. I would
like to avoid having any of this stuff fabricated, as this is already
becoming more of a fixer than we originally anticipated! (Old tale,
right.)
Looking forward to some really good news (BG)
Thanks
Barry
