Hi Jeff,
I can't tell you much about the Shuttle's or the Nexus, although form
the add I seen of the Nexus, it looks pretty good. I fly all Kyosho
machines, 3 SRT's an SRX, and an SR 60 "Championship". I did build one
Ninja Pro, and it was a very nice machine. The JR XF622, is an Ok radio,
but with the machines you are looking at, you can expect to be upgrading
your radio sooner than you might expect. Also if you use the servos that
come with the 622, you will probably be dissapointed, they are very
slow. Let me rephrase that... They are VERY VERY SLOW! The machines you
are looking at, to the best of my knowledge, are fully or almost fully
aerobatic. In my honest opinion, I would not put the 622 on any of them,
I took mine off my SRX after the first flight. Also, the JR does not
have any warnning beeps if you turn the thing on and it is in the stunt
mode or if the throtle hold is on. My suggestion for a radio, if you are
not afraid of computer radios would be a Futaba FP-T8UHF or the PCM if
you want to spend that much more cash. Yes, it is considerably more
expensive, but well worth the investment. I now fly all five of my
heli's on the same radio. The Futaba, has a much better pitch and
throtle curve adjustment, along with the ability to set tail rotor pitch
curve in plus OR minus regardless of stick (throtle) position. This is
real nice for doing inverted work. (If this confuses you, write back,
and I can explain it)
Hope this helps!
Rick
