Hi Sue!
-=> Quoting Susan Bewick to Wendy Buchanan <=-
SB> Yes, I will have more blocks for a quilt top that way and they will be
SB> from my online friends, Fido and Inter-Net.
I thought about getting into some exchanges once I got back
on here but things are still in a bit of an uproar because of
some things I needed to do in a big hurry, so I'm not very
well organized at this time. What a mess, IOW!
SB> Even though it is "Spring", we have had several snowfalls between
SB> melting days. The weather is really weird! We are expecting flooding
SB> from the meltoff of twice as much snow as usual this year but
SB> thankfully are inside the Red River Floodway and just need to keep an
SB> eye on the sump pump and weeping tiles. Moving snow away from the
SB> house foundation and hosing out the weeping tiles is what is
SB> recommended.
Oh good grief, hope that danger is past! I hate floods!
We had a really bad one here in 1986 and no one's forgotten
it. The river flooded and divided the two sides of town,
and people who needed medical treatment on our side had to
be flown to the hospital by helicopter.
SB> I'm glad you are still working on the teddy bear quilt. It must be a
SB> work of love and you will get it done one of these days. I am still a
SB> person with CFS/FMS, and it is slow-going here to get stitching done
SB> but I just take a day at a time and do what I can, when I can.
That's all anyone can do when faced with that stuff. I still
work at getting my strength back and some days I despair of
ever doing it, but I'm working on it.
SB> Thanks for the good wishes and smiles that your posts initiate.
That's a lovely thing to say--I love being part of this echo!
And smiling sure beats frowning, doesn't it? We do have
a good time on Fido!
LadyBear Hugs,
Wendy
