b) it's off-topic here.  The only valid topic of this conference is MODEMS.

Discussions regarding the internet are ok where concerned with getting
MODEMS to work with it.  The fact that modems are used to connect with the
internet, or with BBSs, does not make either the internet or BBSs on-topic.
