subject: don`t use 0015 for modem calls

AM> Hi, Brian Peacock at Telstra INOC mentioned to me this
AM> morning that with newer fax processing gear being
AM> installed, 0015 would become unsuitable for high speed
 AM> full-duplex modems.

Hmm, wonder if that's got to do with why I've been having USR V.34+s in
both NZ and Ohio (called with 0015) answer me with Fax tones about half the
time just lately? I'd been assuming they may have had their AfterCall /
Init stuff scrambled, but my NZ callee assures me his modem only does that
on detecting Fax tones from my end - which has been rather puzzling (and
expensive!)

I did make one crash US call tonight on 0015 at 14400/Rel that went ok ..

AM> 0011 should be used instead.

Will try, thanks

Ok, 0011 to NZ just worked fine ..

Ian
