The concept. Java was designed to have the smallest amount of 
achine-specific
code as possible. Already this is failing, and the CPU specific code is
just cropping up left and right.
No doubt you'll again blame this on microsoft, even though they have very
little to do with Java - concentrating on ActiveX instead.

Depends how you take it. It's a standard design throughout the company. It's
just not an industry standard design.
