DR> Well, I've been given an unofficial promotion at work /
DR> school....that of Computer Tech for the school !
Are you sure it's a promotion?
DR> With this in mind, I have a few questions that I
DR> thought perhaps you folks could...
DR> 2) Well, get this: I've got a low-level Pentium machine at
school.
DR> out with this Pentium,
DR> I was wondering:
DR> Since we have tons of Macs, but none of them online, is
t
DR> possible for me to fire up this Pentium,
DR> download Mac share-
DR> ware off of BBS's and the Web, save them
DR> to an IBM disk, then
We do that at our office. I think we have a program called PC Exchange on
the Macs. I'm not sure if it is commercial or part of the newer Mac OS. It
works well. Our Macs all read PC Disks.
DR> 4) Know of any interesting computer projects for classes / kids ?
The kids on our online system love to email kids in other countries. You can
learn about other cultures that way. If you get Internet access, I can give
you a couple of free accounts on our system. We have about 60 schools online
mostly in Canada, but with one in Vermont, US and Canberra, Australia.
