Of course not, Brooks. I understood what you were saying. EP

I understand your concern. The problem we have is that HCI has
gotten pretty good at arm twisting major donars. NRA relies on
small contributions. HCI usually has the active asistance of the
major media and we have the grassroots support. I don't see
either side going bankrupt; but there's no doubt spending money
in one area means we don't have it available to spend in
another. I think Washington State was a "victory at any cost"
effort (by both sides). There's no doubt other efforts will
suffer because we had to spend the money in Washington. That's
also true of HCI's effort, BTW. The decision as to where and
what to fight over is in the hands of NRA's leaders; who are
eminently qualified to make the decision.
I'm just a spear carrier, Brooks. We pick the people we think
best qualified to make those hard decisions, and then back them.
Other than keeping a wary eye on the bottom line, I have to hope
Tanya and her staff are making the best choices. So far, I'm not
unhappy with their choices. But I am watching the bottom line as
carefully as I can. Ernie P.
