Hello.  I am trying to do some digital dubs from my Sony MiniDisk to a DAT
deck.  I have heard rumblings about an optical cable that can be had that
defeats Sony's bad joke on consumers, SCMS (Serial Copy Management System).
I think it is terrible that Sony feels that I should buy their equipment
only to be stopped from using it in the way I wish.  I record live bands
and need to make dubs for my customers.  Sony offers a DAT machine that has
a switch on it to defeat SCMS - unfortunately, I don't own that model, and
I have the MD (which I really enjoy).
Any help on the SCMS SCAM would be greatly appreciated.
