The 56k server will connect to its central office (CO in phone company lingo) 
using ISDN or better.  The server's CO must connect through to the 56k 
client's CO via a completely digital link.  The line from the client's CO to 
the client's modem would be analog (Plain Old Telephone Service - POTS.)
