1. The "&Y9" on the second line would tend to indicate that
something's a

little screwy in your M11F's memory. I recommend you do a
"AT&F." reset

before you do anything else. ^

Also, after a power-up or "ATZ" the S42 register should be 000
not 016 or

   any other value.

2. What version of firmware does your M11F have? The "%B" command hasn't

been seen since the V2.56B firmware. The latest version is V2.61L and it

can be downloaded from NetComm OnLine BBS by calling (02) 878 3755 or

   (02) 888 6904. It's pretty easy to install - if you have any problems or

   questions NetMail me at 3:640/101.

3. Is this M11F used on your BBS? If it is, I *strongly* recommend that you

change the "#A2" to "#A0". If you haven't defined a
password it's dead

simple for a caller to remotely access your modem and frig around with the

settings (even accidentally). IMHO "#A0" should have been the default.

4. Now, finally, those extended connect responses... Use the
"\V1" and "%U2"

commands. Depending on your firmware version you may only be able to use

   "%U1" instead of "%U2".

Note: you will have to upgrade your firmware to V2.61L before you will see

   the "/V.FC" suffix.
