The airbreathing SM-62 (?) Snark had a nice long range of
a bit over 6,000 miles. I think it went operational in
SAC about 1958... I remember map-match radar being tested
as far back as 1952 or 53. Many of these items are just
refined developments.
As I retired in 1966, much of my info is over 30 years
old... The basic principles of war have never changed.
Just the toys... aotlaw one and they come up with something
better. :(
