But that is NOT pragmatism.  James defined Pragmatism as "Actions are
judged by their outcomes," but explained that the means ARE the end,
and cannot be separated.  Pragmatism transcends the mere aspirations of a
small group, and includes the total effect of their actions on humanity.

In other words, to say Nazism "worked," you must define the
Holocaust as a success and a good thing -- because it is part and parcel of
the means applied by the Nazis.
