Check these figures against your v.34+ test files.

I am back in my old stomping ground (Mossman, FNQ), 1800km from David's Jabberwocky

(Ascot, Bris) and I am getting 33600/33600 (both ways everytime, like it used

to be.)



This only shows that if you want a great connection with a USR, then you have

to get as far away as possible from the party you are calling, ...20km is too

close...1800km is just perfect.



What baffles me though, is that You can hear noise on the line everytime you

just pick up the phone.  Maybe you need a bit of noise to make a USR perform.
