I love cake, sliced in two horizontally. Then paint the inside with some
marmelade, add some sweetened whipped cream too. Put the stack back
together.
 
Repeat the same exercise on the top and the sides of the cake.
 
Then decorate it heavily with lighly whipped sweetened whipped-cream, add
some sweet grapes cut in half, some strawberries cut in half, jellied
cherries, etc...
 
Then with one of those drip-devices write on top: "I love you".
 
Then you and your loved-one eat it ... and do that every day for up to 20
years. I bet you your 7305th sampling of such a cake will make an entirely
different impression on you than the very first-one which was so good, so
appealing, so ... sexy! If after 20 years there's only cake then you have a
problem.
 
What "we" mean to say is that love is a beautifull thing, we all
know that. We also experienced that it takes more than just that to keep
going for 20 years even if you've got a good relationship.
 
And, pardon me for this because I don't know you nor your partner, unless
you find a way to hook your loved-one up to your PC and download her
thoughts you will never exactly know what goes on in the head.
 
"That" is experience. It only comes with the years.
