Also, at Florida where the walls of the theaters are on either side of
the audience the end where it meets the stage has been renovated to be
a soft (rubber?) area so I'd suspect that even if someone got caught
there they would not get hurt.

What do you mean by hardware? The leftover COP stuff? They've been using
the COP building at DL for offices (but no longer need to now that their
Team Disney building is open). What I heard was that the COP building
would still revolve (it is mounted on railroad tracks, so it would be
kind of hard to remove that hardware without tearing the whole place down)
and become an exhibit similar to Epcot's Innoventions.
