MR> I wasn't aware you could config it to work with Renegade, but Cool! OTOH MR> sexyz kicks a*s as far as I can see. I mean it cuts down some of the big MR> dloads down to about a third of the time over fdsz. All renegade does is hand the connection off to the protocol to handle. So, reneade doesn't have anything to do with how the protocol does it's throughput. I even got rengade to work with ntp. Which does exactly what I was talking about bypassing the zmodem/fossil aspect and sending the files directly over a tcp/ip direct connection. Was waiting for the ntp to be upgrade to handle both uploads & downloads instead of just sending the users the files. Yeah, I heard good stuff about sexyz protocol, but again in my personal experiance I got to many errors and not that great proformance when I tried it. fdsz always worked better for me. MR> BTW Did you ever release the fix for vr32 where it sent the name instead o Atlas no, never gotten to far with it other then what I mest with back in the day. I did leave it open sourced for anyone to mess with. The speed wasn't due to vr32. vr32 was just a telnet server. The speed was due to msynchfoss. vr32 after getting the telnet connection passed the connection off to msynchfoss. I was having problems with getting it to work with win98 and a few version of xp. --- Renegade v10-24.5/Alpha* Origin: The Titantic BBS Telnet - ttb.slyip.com (1:129/305) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 129/305 379/1 106/2000 633/267 |
