BL> I strongly urge anyone who wishes to talk on their cell phone and
BL> drive at the same time, e.g. to get directions to their
BL> destination, to only do so when using a hands-free feature of
BL> their phone.
BL> it just is not safe to drive in heavy rush hour traffic or for
BL> that matter to drive period with one hand on the wheel and a cell
BL> phone at your ear.
Funny, you should bring this up. There was a move in the state
senate here, (State of Illinois, USA) to ban the use of
a cell phone while driving. Fortunitly, it was defeated.
Personally, I talk while driving all the time, and never have a
problem. The only time it came close to a problem is when I was
pageing my wife while on an off ramp. She has one of those
sky-pagers that needs a pin number entered, along with the phone
number.
In fact, most people I know can handle driving with one hand.
Why do you bring it up? Did you hit something while talking on the
phone?
Blessed Be
