And on further reading, nothing sprouted at all? Yet the same seeds sprouted
well elsewhere?
If that is a clear rendition of the situation, look to chemical damage of the
ground in that spot. Using other seed wont make any difference at all in
that case. Alternative is if the area is very very shaded as in under a bush
or tree, it will never be really hardy. If under some trees (pine come to
mind) then a perfectly natural leaching of pine needles etc may have removed
all grass and you wont be able to beat it.
Please describe the location, condition, size, and plants nearby of the spot
that wont grow. Only with this info, can folks take a real shot at the
problem for you.
