You and me both.   Actually, in many ways Bush is not a
conservative. 
There are many things Bush has done or has failed to do that I don't
like.  They just aren't any of the things that the liberals here
complain about.  The bottom line is and continues to be, for
better or worse, that Bush has been and is right on defending the country
and the war on terror (not that every decision in Iraq has been great
tactically) and the democrats are so weak on this issue, that it forces me
and those like me to overlook all the other things Bush has done
"wrong" from my point of view.  The democrats are just
not a rational alternative at this time.

consideration. I don't know that extreme minority would be correct

      Personally I don't see why
they aren't
pushing on the Northern border as well. We should have reasonable control

Bushies aren't pushing a Canadian border.  Maybe some select
politically correct let's build a fence to the north so the Mexicans can't
claim we are racist republicans advocate this, but they are an extreme

North America != the USA. I accept that, as a man who never realized Canada
was to your north & went from "sea to shining sea"
& had been British till quite recently, neither history nor
geography is a strong suit of yours but surely you realise that Mexico is
in North America?

What continent do you think it's on? Are you confusing the "Rio
Grande" with "Panama"? I can understand your confusion given
both have the letters "a" & "n" in them.

Mexico et al are part of "North America" so when we're discussing
"Europe" we out to also be discussing "North America".
