The beginning of the realization of the incompetence factor started with
Harriett Myers, moved on to post Katrina, and immigration was the last
straw.

Gonzales isn't a scandal and isn't something anyone but a very few on
either side of the aisle are really concerned about.  However, nobody cares
to defend him because they've just had it with these incompetent fools to
begin with.  The democrats know its nothing themselves but they are just so
desperate to waste their time and power on meaningless matters that these
desires have overcome all rational self-interest on their own part.
