...because I had eye surgery yesterday! This is pretty cool, I've had
glasses since I was 5 years old, and finally I have had a couple of years
when my eyesight hasn't gone worse so I could have the surgery, and it's
brilliant! Took one 3 hour checkup session, and then a week later the
operation which was also about 3 hours, but only a few minutes under the
laser. A few hours after that I could actually see almost clearly. No pain,
no nothing - except when the laser was doing it's thang, I could smell
something like burning hair, and knowing what it was made my stomach turn a
bit - but, it was over in seconds so not a big thing.

It's now been 18 hours since the operation, and bright objects are still a
bit blurry (text on the computer monitor for example is not completely
sharp), and my left eye feels like there's something in there, but other
than that I'm good to go. I'm soo happy now :-)

Totally recommended to anyone who's a candidate, and about 17 thumbs up.
