From: Gary Britt

Sorry but no comfort for you there. I don't think the invasion of Iraq
decision was a disaster. I do think the incompetence in implementing and
planning for and executing the aftermath of the invasion has made the
situation quite difficult. I still support Bush on defending the country,
terrorist surveillance, etc. I've just had it with all the other things he
does both wrong and incompetently.

Prior to Bush's election I expressed (perhaps not here I don't remember)
many reservations about him because I was definitely NOT a fan of his
father's presidency which nearly ruined the republican party for good
(saved only by the Clinton's and Hillarycare). I did not think his father
was a conservative and that made me question his true conservative nature.

I and all like me suppressed all those concerns after 9/11 and rallied to
the President. Also all the ridiculous talk about he's stupid etc. was
incorrect and a turn off to conservatives. Bush isn't a moron. He is
smart. He beat the best the democrats could come up with twice. His
problem is not that he isn't smart. His problem is that 1. He isn't
really a conservative, just like his father; 2. He's smart but an
incompetent executive and is unable (unlike Reagan) to surround himself
with highly competent and effective subordinates and managers.
