Poe, at 00:54 on Aug 11 1996, you wrote to Peter Collis... PL> The current Austel ones are single board versions; I wonder if a PL> modified US code will work on them... For what seems like the tenth time I've said this, the US/Canada SDL code does NOT work in single-board Austel Couriers. PC> The same thought crossed my mind as well, Anyone know for sure. Yes, we DO know for sure. PL> Any single board owners willing to try? David Drummond was courageous enough to volunteer his modem for the most recent exercise, but I don't recall now whether his is a single-board or not. Anyway, as stated before, the US/Canada SDL flashed into the EEPROM just fine, but the modem then did absolutely nothing at all, apart from responding with an "OK", regardless of the commands being issued.
