What is in dispute is not the facts of her death, but the attitudes about
it.  None of us killed her, nor even saw her death.  But some here on this
echo took the position that she deserved to die.

When you think about it, that is a rather chilling attitude -- we go from
"Muslims deserve to die" to "anyone who doesn't agree with
our position deserves to die -- even our fellow citizens."

And something we should always keep in mind.  The Bill of Rights is RIGHT.
It is morally correct, even in nations where it does not hold.  And a key
issue with the Bill of Rights is that it protects people we disagree with,
even people we find obnoxious.

If we lose sight of that, we lose everything.
