subject: Re: [OS2HW] Need an internal PCI modem

Excuse my tardiness in replying. I must mention that an USR Courier
modem is my primary modem with the ActionTec as the backup, which worked
flawlessly last October with InJoy and Faxworks 3.00.01.

    Mine uses COM 4, D800, IRQ 10.

    I did use it on the previous Pentium 200MMX to set IRQ to 10, when
this modem kept using an IRQ of 11 or 15, via the parameter, "/IRQ10".
IIRC, it was necessary to specify IRQ 10 for its PCI slot in the
mainboard's BIOS, so the IRQ wasn't shared.

    The applicable lines in my Config.Sys are

DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\COM.SYS (1,3F8,4) (2,2F8,3) (4,D800,10)
DEVICE=E:\FAXWORKS\FMD.SYS (1,03F8,4) (2,02F8,3) (4,D800,10)

plus the following one was used with Ray Gwinn's 1.60d driver on my old box,
  REM DEVICE=C:\SIO\SIO.SYS (COM4:230400,D800,IRQ11)
which worked normally, AFAIR.

    No, I have it set to Class 1 with HW FIFO, IIRC.
