  Putting yourself down is one thing - but putting someone else down is 
another.  When you call yourself something, that's self-denigration, and 
usually with a sense of humour.  When you call someone else a name, it's 
almost always out of spite and intolerance.
  You're apparently basing everything on fairly limited, general 
observations, much the way KKK members think black people are bad; until you 
actually have a frank discussion with the person, you're just stereotyping.  
On CNN a little while back a black author talked about a visit to a KKK group 
- by the time he'd met them and talked with them, several of them quit the 
KKK because they realized all their info had been propaganda.  Even those who 
stayed aren't quite the same; most these days just want to show the pride 
they have in their heritage, although now it's somewhat tainted.
  And as for your specific comment, that "fundies" control the FCC, that's 
akin to racists who claim that Jews are greedy powermongers who control all 
the world's money.

  I think there's a certain point where you still have to turn down the game. 
 A 7-year-old is hardly going to grasp the intricacies of why they shouldn't 
act like their hero in the game.  Maybe when they're closer to 9 or 10!
