I think the US is welcome in Kurdish regions, and I'm not sure there's a
serious internal threat in the north.  The Kurds have been working to make
sure they have population majorities in the areas abutting Arab-controlled
regions.

The 104-acre thing is a crazy idea anyway.    We sneer at Saddam for
his palaces, and then decide to build one ourselves.
