Cyclone headed into Arabia & then Iran.

Duuuuude.....

When I lived there this was the moment to head for Ras Al Had which is the
pimple on the rhino's forehead (see map on page)


"Low-lying areas have been evacuated. In the island of Masirah, 230km
off the coast (140 miles), 7,000 people have left their homes. "


There are now 7k ppl on Masirah???? Blimey...what are they doing there?

I remember the airstation there quite literally being stripped clean by a
cyclone. Hangers, portacabins etc etc. The radio mast was left but all
bent. However...the village was obviously placed centuries of experience
& suffered no damage.


It's be interesting to see the extent of it's effects on the Hormuz
shipping esp given it will have the effect of pushing things towards Iran.
