What I like about this is the comments wrt: "The LongShot system is a low-cost, self-contained wing adaptor kit that can provide these capabilities to a range of existing air-to-surface munitions, including sea mines, gravity bombs, laser-guided bombs and cluster bomb dispensers. The system is self-contained and includes a flight control computer, a GPS-based navigation system, and power sources; range is up to 50 nautical miles. " So........it gives glide delivery capability of 50 miles or so to..... Esp interesting wrt dumping mines esp esp where tied into a gps system so the glider can plonk em down in exactly the right place. Or it could dump mini SOSUS style beasties thus meaning less of the SSN "close to shore" stuff.
