Are you now saying that the rule hasn't been used to separate OFM from OFA? I've decided there isn't any point is arguing any more. You're consistently mis-representing or mis-understanding what I write, adding meaning which i certainly didn't intend, and even when I try to clarify my meaning, you continue to mis-represente or mis-understand. I have been trying to make a simple point, that c can be measured irrespectivde of Hamilton's rule (or even its existence!), but you don't seem to be getting it. On the subject of time frames, they were defined by Fisher in 1930, when he defined hisa measure of (absolute) fitness. Therefore Hamilton didn't need to define any time frame himself - the definition would be understood by anyone who knew enough theoretical evolutionary biology to understand the paper(s).
