-= Pete Replied to Paul Edwards about: USR Courier V34 problems =-

G'day Paul

PE> e.g. numbers 1 and 5. For you to get the others you need to be
PE> called by the same people who are calling me. I have sent the
PE> people who are getting the problems off to hassle some other USR
PE> Courier owners that I know of. Note that I

PE> Ok, the aborted connects from a Supra modem (which had no such
PE> trouble with the Spirit Thunder) have also been reproduced on
PE> David Drummond's and Poe Lim's systems. BFN. Paul.

PE> P.S. One other problem I didn't report, was at LEAST on the old
PE> ROMs, the previous user of the USR Courier would always get a
PE> dropout with his USR after being connected for an hour to his
PE> ISP. My connects are not long enough to see this.

It's starting to sound like a faulty modem, With my USR from memory
all i did from default was to turn off MNP5 compression and it's
worked faultlessly. BTW have you tried reloading the ROM code.

below is my current settings.
