II>So with all the "O-FISHY" stories about Roswell, which were released by

>believe?
None of them. I don't know what to believe about Roswell and the more I
hear from the Government, the more I believe they know and are hiding it
from us. Nothing in that tells me to believe in aliens.
II>Yep, just as the Judas goat leads the sheep to the slaughter, the
>unthinking public believes whatever pablum they are fed by the media.
Actually, the government hasn't fed us any "pablum" that I know of.
They have been quite for the most part, and when they've actually
commented, it was a "no comment" :). I'm not inclined to form a
conclusion just because they say nothing.
>But there are some, myself included, that use the brain that God gave
>them, and do NOT automatically believe whatever Uncle Sam and the media

What logic do you use to conclude that there are aliens based on the
fact that Uncle Same does not admit that there are?
II>Sorry, IMO you're out in left field on this one. It IS possible for the

Certainly on some (relatively) small scale issues. But with the public
sentiment surrounding the UFO phenomena, it just isn't possible that at
least one civic minded individual hasn't succumbed to the need
for personal recognition and divulged the "truth". What happened to your
law of statistics?
At any rate... cite some examples where an official proclamation has
later been proven to be blatant lies.

>MUFON and APRO!
Proven to happen??? Even if I agree to accept your opinion that they
are "reputable investigative groups", cite a couple of cases where
government "disinformation" has been exposed.

II>Don't hold your breath, because any REAL official announcement that ET's
>and alien craft are real won't come about unless and until a UFO lands or
>crashes in some VERY public place, witnessed by hundreds of people and

Or is recognized by at least one authoritative body, which so far hasn't
happened. If it were true there are too many publicity hungry
scientists, officials, and journalist to cover it up. THAT's the truth!
II> RT> I want to
> RT> know what you've got and if you can't provide substantiation, I can

II>True! One of us, (I believe it is myself, you believe it's yourself),
>MAY know the truth, but neither of us could convince a jury at this time.
No... I don't claim to even _think_ I know the truth. I believe the
real truth lies in the negative, but of course that cannot ever be
proven. Certainly there is not enough evidence to convince an unbiased
jury. Actually there isn't enough creditable evidence to even mount a
case.
II>One final comment:
II>Q: WHY doesn't the Govt. admit their knowledge of UFO's?
II>A: FEAR! They are scared to death that if word got out that ET's were
>visiting us, there would be mass panic!
You denigrate the government and then portray it as a benevolent entity.
Those that control the government have no compassionate reason to avoid
