     John! it has taken some time for me to realize
 why I was mixing apples and oranges in my postings
 to you and Charles ....that Frank was/is primarily
 concerned with the substance of the topic at hand;
 and you were/are primarily concerned with the logic
 grammar associated with the topic ......Frank into
 what the subject is and is doing; you into a dissection
 of the subject itself and how to see each organ. The
 idea that wordish arithmetic can produce a measured
 knowledge of "human VALUES" is still a bit alien to me
 but I monitor both yours and Charles' postings; and
 might one day learn a bit. I do not have the "big time"
 faith in symbolic logic, though I might appreciate
 it of value in the more non humanish sciences. I had
 always wondered why (whether agreeing or not) Frank's
 postings had been clear to understand and yours ever
 a puzzle.
 
 I've noticed myself and others on the ECHO often
 getting into similar such "3 blind Chinamen examining
 an elephant" dilemma. One cannot but appreciate being
 told **HOW** he might be thinking his way to a wrong
 conclusion ....and having such sinned grievously, how
 be might be reunited with the epicasy of truth.  (grin>
