Well, we are aware that we don't have to help out, and that we don't
need your permission not to. I think that perhaps you stretch the word,
"harassment" way out of shape in the above statement.

If you knew how many people drop in here with a "research project" or
"survey", or an "article to write", then perhaps you might have handled
your original request differently. Unless requests are handled with a
lot of finesse, it is awfully easy for me, and I think others to have
several reactions: one, someone is trying to achieve some advantage
from my dis-ease, and/or two, I am a freak that needs to be studied.
There are also a fair number of critters who check in here looking to
sell something, or promote some rant, and it is usually hard to separate
out the legitimate people from the riff raff.
So that is why folks might tend to be suspicious and impatient with
people who roll in with a little project they want to do. Now, do you
understand?
