subject: Re: Another black mark

I was wondering....
How would someone subdivide a New Zealand telephone number? For example, if
you go to a world telephone format page and look up the format for Sweden,
it will say that the format is 2-3-6, but if you talk to a Swede, he or she
will tell you that the format is actually 2-3-(2.2.2)

I know that the format for North America is 1-(3)-3-4 . One is a '1' for
North America.
The next 3 digits are the Province or State code. The next 3 digits are the
city or town metropolitan code. The final 4 digits are the local telephone
exchange.

How would someone subdivide the New Zealand telephone number 6433085201 ?
From my phone book I can parse off the telephone international country
code. That would make the phone number 64-33085201 , but how would one
group the trailing digits?

Thanks In Advance
P.S. That is the dialup for 1st Choice Core BBS of Ashburton, SI, NZ.
(Is 'SI" correct for 'South Island' or should that be 'So.' ?)
