Originally digests were sequentially numbered messages in groups of 25. i.e 
1,2,3,4.... 24,25

I have changed nothing in any of my forum configurations to cause this new 
behavior other than Yahoo took it upon themselves to "improve"
the service.  
Defiinely a case of Yahooliganism.
