-> Bob, the goal is the creatiion of quality software. There is only one output, -> the software, and if it doesn't work, the TEAM is responsible and accountable. -> In my experience, finger pointers point fingers regardless. I remember the I once used this approach to my advantage ;-) When working at K-Mart, in the sporting goods, 3-4 people would share the register, and each used the same password, such that they couldn't pin-point any errors.... Granted, they had scanners for most items in the stores, but when something rang up with the wrong amount, you had to make a note of it on the paper... I kinda didn't realize this at first, and the way they put it, I got confused as to when I was supposed to record it and when not, because if you make a mistake and void a ticket, you need not record it on paper, yet if you ring up the wrong price you do.... Anytime they'd confront me and ask whose not recording the re-rings on the paper, I'd just say "I don't know", until they finally explained it in simple terms what they wanted.... To be honest, I'm suprised they didn't have problems with theft in a way.... (or I should say from inside the company). Though as I'm moving up into management, I see we've got a similiar setup at Circle-K, and good management can pin-point problems like that.... When money conviently comes up missing only when certain employees work, they pretty much put an end to theft.... --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v3.0pr3* Origin: MLC-Group BBS -- mlc-group.dyndns.org (1:396/60) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 396/60 45 106/2000 633/267 |
