That was ment as a joke.

Can't see that the operating system would have any effect on this.
Can't it use a sound board to be like a speaker phone? That sucks.
Is the soft ware Dos? , or probably Windows. I gave up long ago
expecting any thing to be OS2.

I can only guess, but, I some time get a SLOWER transfer with a 31200
connect than with a 28800. The reason is that it has connected too high
for the lines, and is resending too many packets --too many CRC,s.
Some terminal programs will abort a download after too many CRC.s.
I am tring to relate this to your Netscape.
I assume you are Windows Netscape, since very few of us have Netscape
for OS2.
Back to being on proper subject: Supras (Diamond) are the greatest--
at least the top of the line ones.. :-)

OK, got it. I guess I missed the (GBG). I am used to seeing a (g) or a
smiley. I suppose BG standsfor "big grin" but what does (GBG) stand for?

Well, I bought the modem mainly to be used for data transfers and the
LCD display. The LCD display is very nice for the Internet to see what
the modem is doing during all those pauses. I have not had any interest
in any voice capability and have never really checked it out. Maybe
someone who has used voice on the Sonic would offer some comments.

Yes, I agree that that errors are probably causing the problems that the
Sonic has been having. OTOH my Courier seldom gets a 31200 connection but
when it does it is a solid connecting without problems.

Yes it is Netscape for Window for Work Groups, 16 bit software. I have
never done OS2.
