Now, Father O'Malley had a parishoner who was a truck driver.  And this
fellow liked to kill lawyers.  He'd see one walking alongside the road,
twitch the wheel, and THUMP!

One Sunday, he saw Father O'Malley walking alongside the road, and
stopped.  "Can I give yez a lift, Father?"

"Ah, t'ank yez!  Me auld motor car broke down about a mile back, and
I've got to get to th' next town in time for mass."

"Get in," says he, and off they go.

They went over a hill, and there's a lawyer walking alongside the road.
Instinctively, he twitched the wheel -- then realized Father O'Malley
was riding with him.  He struggled to get back on the road, but THUMP!

Looking back through the mirror, he could see the lawyer lying dead
beside the road.

"Father, you've got to believe me!  I didn't mean to kill that lawyer!
I tried to miss him!"

Father O'Malley put his hand on the driver's shoulder and said
comfortingly, "I know yez did, me son.  But I got the bastard wid' th'
door!"
